Killer Instinct Season 3 Composers Highlight the Creation of Arbiter’s Theme

Killer Instinct brings plenty of its own flair to the fighting genre, from an over-the-top cast that allows players to pit a massive stone golem against a dinosaur, to a complex combo system making each connected hit feel like it truly means something, to music that helps tie it all together. While character themes are an undeniably important part of every fighting game, few take advantage of the art form quite like Killer Instinct, thanks to the way these tracks can mesh with the combo system.

With the third season just a couple of weeks away, the folks behind the update’s music–celldweller and Atlas Plug–recently put together a video showing the process behind crafting one of their songs. Appropriately enough, they chose to show this through the upcoming guest character, Arbiter.

If you’re a fan of Killer Instinct’s music, or just like watching artists at work, be sure to check it out.

Killer Instinct Season 3 is scheduled to launch for Xbox One and PC on March 29.

Chronicle: Runescape Legends: Open Beta Preview

With their rich fantasy background, collectible card-games have become fertile ground for MMOs looking to expand into new areas. As a result, it’s unsurprising to see Runescape-developer Jagex enter the fray with a new title of their own. But, far from being a reskin of run-of-the-mill mechanics, Chronicle: Runescape Legends is something entirely different, offering a surprisingly interesting twist on traditional turn-based play.

Q Harnesses Psycho Power in Street Fighter V Mod Footage

You’ve certainly seen the mod by now. You may have even seen it moving around in assorted gifs scattered about the internet, but have you seen this fan-made Q model step into the ring?

In some new footage from the folks at Street Fighter V Mods, two M. Bisons don trench coats and proceed to pummel each other in what’s difficult to call a proper match, but still does the mod more justice than any source we’ve seen so far. When moving around, Q looks surprisingly fluid, and, oddly enough, right at home in Bison’s body. Since he (sadly) retains all of the Shadaloo leader’s attacks, you’ll not get to see him performing the moves he’s known for himself; however, it’s hard to deny how great he looks when glimmering with that sickly purple glow.

Perhaps the best moment is Q performing the dictator’s win pose: running a gloved hand through his lack of hair before replacing his hat and floating into the air.
