Guile Coming to Street Fighter V on April 28
Ever since Guile’s announcement, there has been one question on every Street Fighter V player’s mind: when will he be coming to the game? Well, now we know.
Capcom just announced that Guile (and his multi-purpose theme) will be joining the Street Fighter V cast on Thursday, April 28 by 7:00 PM PDT (4:00 PM EDT). While the release time offered is specific to North America, it’s probably safe to assume that the rest of the world will be gaining access to those sweet shades at around the same time.
With Guile’s return just on the horizon, we suggest checking out some of our previous coverage on him, including some early gameplay footage, this breakdown of his moveset, and this piece on how he’ll bring defensive play back to Street Fighter V.

Street Fighter V Roundup – Tips to Combat R. Mika’s Drop Kick, Nash Mixups, and More
There’s always new technology to be found in fighting games, and Street Fighter V is no different. A fair share of videos featuring new (or lesser-known) tactics have found our inbox over the last few days, and we want to share them with the community! Let’s get started!
Rainbow Mika’s standing roundhouse can be a real pain if you’re not used to dealing with it. Though it may seem quite powerful initially, it isn’t without its weaknesses. Our first video of the day, from wideawakeanimal, takes a look at what players can do to combat Mika’s wall of boot.
If you tuned in to Red Bull Kumite over the weekend, you may have seen a particularly nasty mixup performed by Razer’s Infiltration. Sebastian Rikk was quick to hit the lab and figure out how to recreate this series of attacks to share with the rest of the world. Those looking to spice up their Nash game would be wise to give it a look.
But that’s not all we’ve seen recently on the Nash front. If you’re in the market for expanding your pressure options following a forward throw, as well as a handful of other situations, these two videos–one from SnowMonkey, another from akaRLBS–may have just what you’re looking for.
After a brief stint of adventuring beyond the walls of Shadowloo Headquarters to discuss Alex, GamersGrid TV and host Ricardo “Mono” Roman are back with a new episode of Shadowloo Bootcamp. This episode spends plenty of quality time with Vega, and you can find the first two segments of the episode–basic combos and counter hits–embedded below.
While our roundups aren’t quite as frequent as they once were, perhaps due to folks saving their strategies for the next major event, we’re still accepting submissions for future Street Fighter V community roundups.
