Nintendo of America Partners with CEO Gaming to Help Run Super Smash Bros. Melee and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U
In an announcement which promptly crashed CEO’s official website, Nintendo of America officially revealed via Twitter that they will be supporting CEO 2016 in its running of tournaments for both Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Super Smash Bros. Melee. Now, support for Wii U Smash is all but expected from Nintendo, but this is one of the rare occasions where Nintendo is openly supporting the Melee community at a tournament.
Nintendo has not shied away from assisting with the running of Smash tournaments, being an official sponsor for Genesis 3 earlier in the year and also helping save Apex 2015 when that tournament collapsed in on itself. I imagine this partnership will take the form of providing additional Wii U and maybe GameCube setups for both tournaments, but who knows what else could be in store? The Twitterverse has already exploded with several people claiming this is the coming of Melee HD, and seeing as CEO is post-E3 where Nintendo is not showing anything else of beside Zelda, maybe CEO could be the perfect place to debut such a title.
We can only hope.

Keep the Pressure On with Necalli’s Midscreen Stomp
Necalli may not have the best footsies in Street Fighter V, but when the ancient warrior hits you, he hits hard. Sometimes though, he has to sacrifice stage positioning for damage, and that leaves him with the onerous task of finding another opening.
Necalli’s V-Trigger turns him into a faster, stronger killing machine and offers him a plethora of new options to put the pressure on. Enter Brian_F, who has explored how Necalli can make use of stomps to keep pressure on even after finished combos. In the video below he breaks down the options, how they work and the rewards you can get timing things just right. In fact, he even covers dealing with your opponent’s adjustments.
If you’re a fan of the bestial combatant, this looks like it’s going to be a key part of maintaining your offense so make sure to watch the video below and start working out how to add it to your game.
