Learn to Conquer Jab Resets in Super Smash Bros. Melee
Jab Resets are a devastating tool in Super Smash Bros. Melee that allow for guaranteed follow-ups as powerful as Rest. If a tech is missed in high level play, a Jab Reset is the result more often than not, so being able to deal with them is vital to maintaining a healthy stock.
To that end, Remix has put together a video about how Jab Resets function and how to go about making sure that you don’t pay with a stock for the crime of missing a tech. The breakdown is complete with information about when you can combat the possibility, and when you’re left with nothing to do but hope that the followup doesn’t kill you.
If you’re tired of being reset into Fox’s up smash, make sure to check out the video below or, if you’re wanting to incorporate more resets in your game, have a look at what sort of counter play you might be coming up against.

Desk’s Not-So-Official Trailer Explores Possible Inspirations for Street Fighter V’s Ibuki
When a new character or a new game appears, Desk is rarely far behind. Thus, given how many games the man has tried to completely break, it’s no wonder that he would be able to draw many parallels between the recently revealed version of Ibuki and various other fighting game characters and mechanics.
While he (obviously) shows how little many combo options have changed for everyone’s favorite ninja schoolgirl between Street Fighter IV and the present iteration, he also draws some conclusions on possible inspiration for Ibuki’s design. In doing so, he found that there might be a correlation between her V-Trigger and Doctrine Dark’s Explosive in the Street Fighter EX series, and even more surprisingly, that her ability to float might have been inspired by Karnov’s Balloon Attack in Karnov’s Revenge (also known as Fighter’s History Dynamite in Japan) by Data East–a now-defunct company Capcom once attempted to sue out of fear that they had completely copied Street Fighter’s mechanics for this very IP.
Whether these parallels are intentional or not may forever be left up to the imagination, though it is hard to ignore how close they are in terms of design.

Ibuki to Join Street Fighter V Alongside Cinematic Story Expansion in June
When Capcom first announced that Ibuki was the next character coming to Street Fighter V, they declined to give an actual release date. A new update from Capcom Japan, however, gives us an idea of when she’ll finally hit the game. According to Capcom’s Saikyo Blog, Ibuki will now be coming alongside the cinematic story mode expansion later this June.
While no concrete release date was ever given for Street Fighter V’s third DLC character, this technically does count as a delay since the official release schedule promised that the character would come out in May.
This isn’t the first time that content for Street Fighter V has been delayed. The game’s “Zenny Shop” that would allow players to convert real money to in-game currency was also originally meant to release in March alongside Alex.
In addition to this announcement, they also acknowledge their mistake with the recent trailer for Ibuki–which has a mouse cursor pop up about halfway through it–and stated that a fixed trailer is coming soon.
