When Mark “MarkMan” Julio contacted Shoryuken with this information, he also made it a point to direct our attention to an important rule in place for the tournament tour, which states that “[q]ualified champions cannot compete in future ‘TEKKEN 7: The King of the Iron Fist Tournament 2016’ events after qualifying unless they relinquish their qualifying spot.” This should help encourage plenty of new faces to make themselves known in the Tekken scene.
