Project M is no different, and there is plenty to explore when it comes to character-specific movement technology to up your game. Getting a Happy Birthday–a combo on both the point and the assist characters– in Skullgirls 2nd Encore has always been fairly rewarding. Between getting a Double Snap and utilizing midscreen assist kills, punishing bad assist calls has always been highly rewarded. Now, however, brand new tech has been uncovered that’ll make bad assist calls punished harder than ever.
The technique involves paying close attention to hitstop in order to allow the involved assist character to momentarily drop from the combo, but still be picked up again to tack on loads of unscaled damage to make sure they don’t survive the barrage.
