Zarina Makes Her Debut Alongside Nelson and Bandeiras in King of Fighters XIV’s Latest Team Trailer

While the rest of the world is eagerly awaiting the latest Street Fighter V update, SNK has quietly slipped out one of their weekly team trailers for the King of Fighters XIV. This time, they’re focusing on Team South America’s Nelson, Bandeiras Hattori, and Zarina.

We’ve already seen a lot of Nelson and Bandeiras footage, however this marks the first time that we’re seeing the capoeirista, Zarina, in action. She represents only the second character to use that style (the first being Momoko from KoF XI) and brings with her a varied array of multi-hitting kicks that seem to lead to some decent juggles.

The King of Fighters XIV hits PlayStation 4 on August 23.

Street Fighter V Matchmaking Servers Coming Down for Pre-Patch Maintenance

Street Fighter V’s long-awaited Cinematic Story Mode expansion is almost upon us. With that in mind, Capcom will be shutting down the game’s online matchmaking servers to apply some necessary updates.

According to the Street Fighter V Server Twitter account, the servers will be subject to a massive 10-hour maintenance period from 2:00 PM PDT on June 30 until 12:00 AM PDT on July 1.

During this time, online play will be unavailable; Fight Money acquisition will also be disabled. That said, offline play is still possible and any events running the game during this time will be unaffected.

“A Shadow Falls”: Behold Street Fighter V’s Cinematic Story Mode Trailer

At long last, Street Fighter V’s much-anticipated Cinematic Story Mode is almost here! Capcom wants to keep up the hype with this trailer, featuring the current roster of Street Fighter V as well as newcomers Ibuki and Balrog–and upcoming fighters Juri and Urien, of course. A weaponized moon, glimpses of Shadaloo’s Dolls, rampaging Necalli, M. Bison more powerful than ever before: there’s a lot going on in this minute and a half, but very soon we’ll be able to see F.A.N.G’s apocalyptic plan unfold for ourselves.

The Cinematic Story Mode will be launching tomorrow, July 1st–along with much more new SFV content.

Terry Flanagan’s title defence rescheduled to July 16

Terry Flanagan (30-0, 12 KOs) will now defend his WBO lightweight title against Mzonke Fana (38-9, 16 KOs) on July 16 at the Ice Arena in Cardiff, Wales.
The Mancunian fighter had been scheduled to face South African Fana on the undercard of WBA and WBO heavyweight champion Tyson Fury’s rematch with Wladimir Klitschko on July 9 at the Manchester Arena. But that fight was postponed because Fury suffered a sprained ankle. So Flanagan will make his third world title defence seven days later in…
