Livelock: Interview with Kevin Neibert, Lead Game Designer

Livelock is an upcoming top-down shooter-slash-online Action RPG from Tuque Games and Perfect World Entertainment. It’ll be on PC, XB1 and PS4, and it launches on August 2nd. We managed to catch up with Livelock’s lead designer Kevin Neibert to chat about the game, its reception since debuting at PAX, and what players can expect when it launches in just over a month.

War Thunder: First Player-Created Skin Added to the Game via RevShare

Gaijin Entertainment recently released the War Thunder Content Development Kit for the community to utilize in the creation of new textures for pre-existing vehicles in the game. To date, more than a dozen skins have been submitted to the War Thunder Live, the content sharing platform, for assessment by the development team for possible inclusion in the game.

Necropolis: Collector’s Edition Now Available for Pre-Order

Bandai Namco, Harebrained Schemes and Battletech PC have announced a new partnership agreement with iam8bit to bring a physical Collector’s Edition of Necropolis to gamers everywhere. The CE is available for pre-order for $50 via the iam8bit shop. The CE comes as a vinyl soundtrack that also includes a game code.

The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing 2: Headed to XBox One on July 1st

NeocoreGames has sent word that The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing II will be arriving on XBox One on July 1st and will run $14.99. On release day, a pair of DLC will be made available for $0.99 each: a minipet and the Expurgator Set that grants a powerful wardrobe set. This release follows the release of Van Helsing I and marks two of three games in the trilogy available on XBox One.

Final Fantasy XV: First Official Trailer Sparks Hype for Aug 19 Release

The first official English-language trailer for Final Fantasy XV: Kingsglaive, a movie version based on the soon-to-be released game, has arrived. The video provides a bit of background for the movie, as well as a look at the characters. Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV will be released in select theaters across the US on August 19th and in Japan on July 9th. Vainglory: Amazon AppStore Signs on as Platinum Sponsor

The Vainglory team has scored a major sponsor thanks to inking a deal with the Amazon AppStore. Amazon will be hosting tournament championships and will be rewarding players with big discounts and bonus Amazon Coins, the premium currency used to buy in-game items.

Camelot Unchained: Grouping with Other Players Coming Soon

The latest Camelot Unchained update has been released a day early that provides a fantastic look at how the art and environment teams are bringing the game to life. The update is packed with concept art, initial model screens and some finished products. Faction shields get a big look with each group’s shield taking on a unique appearance.

The Banner Saga 2: New Survival Mode Debuts

Stoic and Versus Evil have announced that a free content update called ‘Survival Mode’ has been released for Banner Saga 2. As the name implies, the new game feature allows players to assemble a team of heroes to take on enemies with a cost: Death of a hero in battle is permanent. Achieving certain levels of Victory, however, rewards Renown that can be used to unlock other heroes to replace those lost in battle.
