The Japanese CFN Portal has offered up more glimpses into Street Fighter V’s world through the ever-growing Shadaloo Activity Report, this time by revealing profile art for a few of of the apparently 6000 ninjas employed by the Kanzuki Estate in their private army. Hinagiku [daisy] is a rookie ninja favored by Miss Karin; the others are examples of typical kunoichi of the chunin [middle] and jonin [high] ranks. Note the use of their hair curls as a rank indicator!

Master sumo E. Honda and oil-wrestler Hakan still continue their wrestling rivalry.

Not to be outdone by its younger sibling, Super Smash Bros. Melee has broken yet another record for number of entrants, with Evo 2016 now being the biggest Melee tournament of all time, surpassing last year’s Evo. Evo 2015 previously held the title for largest Melee tournament, with 1,896 entrants with Genesis 3, a dedicated Smash event, trailing just behind with 1,828 entrants.

While this is certainly a big milestone for Melee, it is still languishing behind Super Smash Bros. for Wii U which has successfully entered the 2k club, becoming the biggest single Smash Bros. tournament of all time. Street Fighter V is leagues ahead of both however, having at least 4,000+ entrants, beating Smash’s numbers even if you combine both Melee and Wii U together. Melee still has the opportunity to take its place in the 2k club but Evo 2016 sign-ups close in just under 2 weeks, so players better get a move on if they wish to join this illustrious group of games.
