General: Survival ARPG, Inferno Climber, Releases into Early Access

Arc System Works Co. has announced that its survival ARPG Inferno Climber is now available on Steam Early Access. Players can take control of any one of eight playable characters, each with their own strengths and abilities. The job is to get hold of five Purgatory Stones throughout the world of Inferno. An integral part of the experience is the survival angle that requires players to manage food intake and items to their maximum benefit.

G-League 2016 Capcom Pro Tour Premier Tournament Day 1 Streaming Live from Shanghai, China

This weekend is G-League 2016, China’s very first Capcom Pro Tour premier tournament. Hosted as part of the CCG EXPO 2016 at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center, the event is drawing some of the top Street Fighter V players from across the Asia region. The prize in the eyes of the competitors is a direct spot into the Capcom Cup finals later this year, along with a $15,000 prize pool.

Among the players registered to compete are QANBA.Douyu|Xiaohai, QANBA|Abao, PandaTV|Dakou, PandaTV|Jiewa, Xiaolong and Xiao Bao of China; Tokido, Mago, EG|Momochi, YOUDEAL.MJS|Haitani, RZR|Fuudo, RB|Bonchan, HM|Eita, HM|GO1-3151, GGP|Kazunoko andDNG|Itabashi Zangief of Japan; Humanbomb of Hong Kong; AVM|GamerBee and RZR|RB of Taiwan; Secret|PoongKo of South Korea; and RZR|Xian of Singapore. The fighting begins this Friday local time with pools, followed by the Top 32 semi-finals on Saturday and the Top 8 finals on Sunday. As with all the global premier events, you can watch the action on the Capcom Fighters Twitch channel.

Improve Your Ninja Skills with this Street Fighter V Ibuki Pressure and Setup Guide

Ibuki has always been known for having a wide variety of ways to keep opponents guessing, and her bag of tricks is bigger than ever in Street Fighter V. In a new video, PAN demonstrates how to make the most of Ibuki’s tools to create and maintain pressure while keeping opponents on their toes. Frame traps, meaties and a lengthy segment dedicated to proper V-Trigger placement fill this nearly eight minutes of footage.

As expected of a ninja, deception and technical know-how are two core factors in being a successful Ibuki player, and this video will certainly help make learning such a tricky character a bit less overwhelming.

Eduardo Perez Says He Feels ‘Complete’ Now that Balrog is in Street Fighter V

The Daily Dot’s latest Best of III features an interview with our favorite smiling slugger, Evil Geniuses’ Eduardo Perez, better known as PR Balrog. In the interview, Perez talks about his hopes for Evo and his new attitude about Street Fighter V now that his trademark character is part of the game. He mentions his initial impression of Balrog was that he looked overpowered, referring to the high-damage exhibition displayed at the CEO reveal, but now that he has spent time with the character, he feels, in his words, “complete” and enjoys playing the game more than ever.

Eduardo is also asked about how the top contenders in the US will fare against the titans of Japan. You can hear his honest opinions on that and much more in the full interview.
