DLC Masters Clash as NYChrisG Takes On PR Balrog in This Online Street Fighter V Set

Ever since they’ve been coming out, there have been players who have been heavily associated with Street Fighter V’s DLC characters.

Two of these players happen to be some of the most feared and respected players in America. Already having made a name for himself in UMvC3, Christopher “NYChrisG” Gonzales has taken a shining to Guile showing himself to be one of the best Sonic Boom slingers in the business. Meanwhile, Evil Geniuses’ Eduardo “PR Balrog” Perez has shown renewed energy and focus in Street Fighter V with the release of his namesake character Balrog.

With this in mind, it was only a matter of time before these two greats went head to head online.  Luckily for us, DeadAce was able to record their set and share it on his YouTube channel.

Will ChrisG’s masterful zoning and execution win the day, or will PR Balrog’s insane pressure carry him to victory? Find out in the video below.

The Big House 6 Co-Ordinates With Japanese TOs to Provide Two Japanese Qualifiers for TBH6

In an initiative to get more Smashers from Japan over at big American events, the TOs of The Big House 6 has struck a deal with two Japanese tournaments to provide an all-expenses paid trip to TBH6 for the winners of these select events. It’s similar to the prize from KSB 2016, where the winner was given a free trip to any American tournament of their choosing, with the winner of that tournament, Kamemushi, choosing to fly to Evo 2016.

The two tournaments in question will be Sumabato Qualifier for Smash 4 and Master Hand Qualifier for Melee, both held in Osaka. Komorikiri has won a grand total of five Sumabato titles so he could be on track to take the qualifier but other Japanese players like Earth, Kamemushi, You3 and Kie may step into the breach to steal that flight to the US away from him. Sumabato Qualifier is happening this weekend and will be streamed by SHI-Gaming on their Twitch channel.

Japanese Melee is not in the greatest of states, with the Master Hand tournament series acting as the last regular monthly in the whole of the country. With the promise of a trip to the crucible of top-level Melee, there may be a resurgence of Melee players coming out to play for that prize. Grand Finals at Master Hands usually contains either VGBootcamp’s aMSa, Rudolph or Kounotori but hopefully, we may see some lesser known talent take that top spot. Master Hand Qualifier will take place on August 28th.
