Diablo 3: Need a Job? Blizzard Hiring Diablo Series Game Director

It seems that this year’s Blizzcon may have some good news for fans of the Diablo series with the new job posting on the corporate site that seeks a Game Director. The project is considered an “unannounced project – Diablo. It is fascinating, however, to wonder where the current(?) Diablo 3 game director, Josh Mosqueira, is and whether or not he’s still with the company.

Learn to Wield Input Buffering’s Double-Edged Sword in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U

The latest Super Smash Bros. for Wii U video offering from Smash experts Beefy Smash Doods provides an in-depth examination of input buffering in Smash 4. After explaining the concept to those unfamiliar with a frame-to-frame breakdown, the video discusses what inputs can be buffered in the game–basically all normals, specials, and jump inputs, with some exceptions–then follows with what can’t be buffered, such as inputs during a ledge grab and shielding. The video also includes information about the priority order of multiple buffered inputs, and how buffering a ledge cancel into an air attack will always come out as a neutral air, regardless of directional input.

Skillful input buffering allows for “frame perfect” combos, but if you’re sloppy you’ll perform actions you don’t want, so learn to use the technique well.

“Stay Beefy,” as they say, with more Smash 4 tutorials from the Beefy Smash Doods: ledge trumping, footstooling, or the 2-frame punish.

New BlazBlue: Central Fiction Promo Video Teases Es

As Arc System Works is gearing up for a console release of BlazBlue: Central Fiction, they released a brand new console promotional trailer.

The first part recaps some of the plot from the first three games, and then shows a lot of new footage. There are many fully-animated scenes, which could possibly be Story Mode scenes or from the not-yet-revealed console opening.

This first promotional video ends with a quick look at Es, who will be a launch DLC character. She’s the protagonist of XBlaze–Code Embryo.

Dustloop user Tokkan provided translation of some of her moves from a recent Famitsu article:

Overdrive: Type:Amplifier “Avalon” (gives more hits to Crest Arts)
Exceed Accel: Type:Braver “Lancelot” (spiky pillars)

Specials:
Type:Enchanter “Bors” (buffs other specials)
Type:Slasher “Griflet” (Rising attack, buffed version gives followup from Crests)
Type:Slasher “Mordred” (Advancing slashing attack. Buffed version gives follow up from Crests)
Type:Shooter “Breunor” (Projectile move, has air version and a “cross” version where performing twice in a row combines the two projectiles into one)

Supers
Type:Enchanter “Percival” (Install move, temporarily gives automatic access to the same buffs you’d normally only have one use of from “Bors”)
Type:Shooter “Palamedes” (Giant projectile super, has different properties depending on button and whether on ground or in air)

The Wheel of Fate begins turning once again on October 6, 2016, while North American and European fans can expect the localizations of BlazBlue: Central Fiction sometime this winter.
