SoCal Regionals Returns October 14-16 at Esports Arena
One of the West Coasts biggest tournaments will be returning in the Fall. SoCal Regionals, presented by Level|Up will return on October 14 to 16 at the Esports Arena in Orange County, CA.
This installment of SCR will feature multiple games including Guilty Gear Xrd Revelator, Mortal Kombat XL, Tekken 7, Super Smash Bros. 4, Super Smash Bros. Melee, the King of Fighters XIV, and of course Street Fighter V.
As a Capcom Pro Tour Premier Event, the winner of the Street Fighter V tournament will qualify for Capcom Cup 2016 and take a large part of the $15,000 prize pool bonus from Capcom. In addition to this, the Tekken 7 tournament will also be part of Bandai Namco’s Tekken Tour and will receive a $3,000 prize pool bonus.
For those interested in flying in to the event, Level|Up has partnered with the Holiday Inn Santa Ana which will serve as the official hotel for the event. The hotel is offering a group rate of $114 per night for competitors. Additionally, there will be a $5 shuttle service from the hotel to the venue and back.

While Juri is gracing everyone with her presence next Tuesday, eager Urien players still have to wait probably until late August to officially get their hands on the master of the Aegis Reflector. However, this hasn’t stopped PC Street Fighter V players from accessing Urien and experimenting with what this would-be emperor has to offer. AXETB has done just that, providing a comprehensive walkthrough of all of Urien’s normals and specials, as well as showing off some combos that have been discovered so far.
Starting off with your meterless bread and butter combos, the walkthrough slowly escalates to show off combos into Critical Art, some Crush Counter setups to finally end off with some super stylish Aegis Reflector combos which last for ages. The input display is shown on the top of the screen throughout so you can mark down the combos you find most impressive to then practice now or for when Urien releases for everyone.
