Super Smash Bros. 64 Greats Isai and Alvin Clash in a Marathon 12-Character Battle

If you are looking for more Super Smash Bros. 64 action after watching Super Smash Con, we’ve got just the thing for you. During the 64 Salty Suite, one of Peru’s best Smashers Alvin challenged US legend Isai to a 12-character battle, where players fight with every character in the 64 roster. It’s much like a typical Ironman challenge but rather than starting from different ends of the character select screen and working inwards, both players start on the same character.

What results is an intense, hour long battle between Alvin and Isai with plenty of momentum shifts and ridiculous 64 combos that you’d expect when two top players clash. I won’t spoil the ending but once one player gets the upper hand, it turns into a complete steamroll. Alvin and other Peruvian Smashers rarely get the chance to play in the US, so it’s fantastic to have such a long set on film between the two greats. Do note that the commentary is in Spanish, as Mexico’s 64 champion Mariguas is on comms with Chilean smasher Shalaka. You might need to bone up on your Spanish if you want to understand the elucidating commentary.
