Sneaking onto the Kombo Klash World Circuit, Electronic Dojo has partnered with Ultra Arcade to make VSFighting 2016 the English leg in the road to the Killer Instinct World Cup. Joining the likes of Kombo Klash France and Kombo Klash Netherlands, this tournament gives European Killer Instinct players three chances to strut their stuff on their home continent and hopefully win a place at the KI World Cup.
As with other Kombo Klash events, first place will guarantee a spot at KI World Cup, with everyone up to 13th place receiving ranking points toward earning a spot in that World Cup bracket. This announcement does come as a bit of a last-minute surprise, but it will no doubt fan the fire among those already signed up, as taking first place means more than just a gold medal.
The tournament will be streamed over on the official VSFighting Twitch channel, which will also feature action from Street Fighter V, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, Mortal Kombat X, Guilty Gear Xrd -REVELATOR- and Tekken 7: Fated Retribution, so make sure to tune in for a weekend of top notch action. As is tradition at VSFighting, there will also be a Super Street Fighter II: Turbo tournament on Saturday, August 6th, with same-day signups for the low price of £5.00.
