ANTi Talks Joining Immortal and Trash Talk with ESPN Esports

Jason “ANTi” Bates made waves yesterday when it was announced that he had become sponsored by Immortal. The CEO 2016 champion is clearly excited about the opportunity, stating to ESPN Esports, “It’s an incredibly thrilling feeling being sponsored by a team that stresses success in and out of tournaments and only chooses the best of the best.”

He also talks to ESPN about his goals with the organization–who is well known across the League of Legends, Counter Strike: Global Offensive, and Overwatch world–as being “to bring as many eyes as possible to our brand,” and “to bring a premier championship to the Immortals house.”

Paradise Arcade Shop Is Bringing Back Toodle’s Multi-Console Cthulhu PCB for Arcade Sticks

These days, most players who need compatibility with multiple consoles are likely using a Brooks product, such as the Universal Fighting Board. However, dial back the clock a few years, and you’ll likely see them using something different: the Multi-Console Cthulhu.

Created by longtime Shoryuken forum poster Marcus “Toodles” Post, the MC Cthulhu brought with it not only compatibility with the (then Evo standard) PlayStation 3 and PC, but with some creative crimping, allowed for compatibility with a host of other consoles from generations past, including the original PlayStation, PlayStation 2, Nintendo GameCube, Sega’s Saturn and Dreamcast, and even older consoles such as the original Nintendo Entertainment System and Super NES.

Now, for those looking to use their modern arcade sticks to play games on older consoles, our friends over at Paradise Arcade Shop have partnered with Toodles to bring the MC Cthulhu back. Pre-orders for the new run of MC Cthulhus are now open at Paradise Arcade Shop. Take note that this is the same hardware and firmware that the PCB shipped with back in the day, meaning that it does not have compatibility with the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One.

Expected ship date for this new batch of MC Cthulhus is October 15.

Mai Shiranui is Now Available for Dead or Alive 5 Last Round

After months of teasing: Dead or Alive 5 Last Round’s latest guest character, Mai Shiranui from the King of Fighters series, is now finally available for download. To celebrate this fact, Team NINJA has released a new launch trailer for her.

In addition to showing off some of her moves, the trailer below also shows the new King of Fighters costumes for some of the game’s existing cast. These dress certain characters up as Mai’s Team Women Fighters teammates from the King of Fighters 2000: Kasumi Todoh, Yuri Sakazaki, and Hinako Shijo.
