Make Late Anti-Airs Whiff with Birdie’s Brief Invincibility after Jumping Short in Street Fighter V

Jumping is one of the most dangerous things a player can attempt in any Street Fighter game. Even in Street Fighter V, a careless jump in can easily by punished even just by a simple jab. At the end of the day, this fact of life is just part of the franchise’s identity.

This is why any sort of bug or glitch that can make jump-in stronger can be quite dangerous. Such is the case with Birdie, who apparently has a glitch where he momentarily becomes invulnerable after a jumping short kick. As the video from TOOL ASSISTED below demonstrates, this happens because his vulnerable hurtbox disappears after he performs the move. Used just right, this can be made to make late anti-air attacks whiff against Birdie, allowing him to get a free jump in against his opponent.

This invulnerability does not seem to be something that Capcom intentionally gave Birdie’s jumping short, so expect it to be addressed in a future patch.

Guild Wars 2 – Episode 2 Drops September 20th, Takes Us Back to the Ring of Fire

During PAX West 2016, our first appointment of the show was with none other than ArenaNet for Guild Wars 2’s new Living World Episode. We saw none other than Nellie Hughes (renowned for her work on City of Heroes once upon a moon), and Elisabeth Claire to chat about the new episode and how players will be making their return to a zone we haven’t seen since the Prophecies Campaign of Guild Wars 1.

Limited Edition Tekken Souvenir Jacket Now Available for Pre-Order

Fighting game apparel is probably the most visible form of merchandise related to the genre. Players and fans don clothing with logos, characters, and even memes at tournaments and events around the globe.

Bandai Namco is getting directly into the act with a new limited edition Tekken themed “sukajan” or Japanese souvenir jacket. Available for pre-order now at Bandai Namco’s own online store, the Tekken sukajan jacket feaures a reversible design. One side is black and grey with the tiger emblem seen in Heihachi’s Tekken 7 base costume embroidered onto the back. The reverse of the jacket is red and yellow with with a red oni design on the back, as well as additional embroidery and a dye sublimated pattern on the sleeves.

The Tekken Sukajan jacket can be pre-ordered for $449.00. Shipping date is in the winter of 2016 with those who order before September 30 guaranteed to get it before December 31, 2016.
