The storied Dead or Alive series is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. To mark this milestone event, Team NINJA has put up a massive in-game sale for the DLC items for the series’ latest iteration, Dead or Alive 5 Last Round.
As part of the sale, Team NINJA has put up two special costume packages. The first is the Anniversary Costume Set that includes the Fighter Force, Ninja Clan, Last Getaway, Showstoppers Encore and Premier Sexy costume sets for a total of 76 costumes. In addition to this, the pack also features 4 private paradise movies. Interested folks can pick up the 20th anniversary set for only $21.99 on the PlayStation Store, and $22.20 on the Xbox Live Marketplace.
The second set is called the Fun Theme costume set, and contains the School Uniforms, Pop Idols, Nurse, Training Gear, Maid Uniforms, Police and Christmas costume sets. This set can be purchased for only $21.59 on the PlayStation Store, and $21.60 on the Xbox Live Marketplace.
Both costume sets represent massive 60% saving over having to buy each individual set separately.
In addition to the costume sets, the company is also putting characters for the free-to-play version of the game, Dead or Alive 5 Last Round: Core Fighters on sale. Anyone with Core Fighters can unlock the 30 base characters for only $21.69 on the PlayStation Store, and $20.40 on the Xbox Live Marketplace. With each individual character going for a little over $1 each, this means players get a $30% discount compared to buying them individually.
Interested parties should avail of these packages soon however, as they will only be available until October 11.

Eurogamer is reporting that the United Kingdom’s Advertising Standards Authority is investigating No Man’s Sky with regard to allegations of false advertising that are “in breach of its code of conduct” based on the NMS Steam store page. According to complaints, the assets on the page ostensibly misrepresent the game on release.

Patch Notes Revealed for Guilty Gear Xrd -REVELATOR- Version 1.04
Earlier this morning, details of the latest patch for Guilty Gear Xrd -REVELATOR- were released in Japanese. These notes have since been translated and are available for everyone to read here. The patch is dropping this Friday, so make sure to brush up on these changes so you’re ahead of the game come the 30th. Of the listed changes, the characters with the most changes appear to be Potemkin, Johnny, and Dizzy–with nothing but buffs for all three of them.
CEOtaku is merely days away, with a lot of excitement around it. The patch is releasing a day before CEOtaku so Alex Jebailey, head organizer of CEOtaku, was asked that any competitors that are bringing setups to turn off automatic downloads on their PS4s to prevent the patch loading on their systems.

I’m reminded of Killer Instinct, when that game updated in the middle of Combo Breaker. They were able to have that situation resolved, so hopefully CEOtaku can get everything worked out.
