Capcom Releases Tokyo Game Show Schedule, Hints of New Street Fighter V Information

With Tokyo Game Show right around the corner, Capcom released their stage schedule for the event. While most of it revolves around Resident Evil, one item of note dealt specifically with Street Fighter V.

Street Fighter V will be the first game featured on Capcom’s stage at Tokyo Game Show, being displayed from 10:25-11:05AM JST on Saturday, September 17th. Mentioned in the outline of their Street Fighter V stage presence is that it will feature producer Tomoyaki Ayano and 2015 Capcom Cup champion Kazunoko. But what is more important on this schedule is the last sentence saying, “There may be some new information, too!”

While it says that there “may be” some new information, we can assume that Capcom is indirectly stating with the inclusion of Street Fighter V at the showcase that there will certainly be new information. But what will this new information be? Will it be the unveiling of Urien? Will we see that and more? Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for their Tokyo Game Show showcase!

“Persistence and Stubbornness”: Kane Blueriver Discusses His Approach to Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 with RoK the Reaper

Nicolás “Kane Blueriver” González is often referred to as the “People’s Champion” of Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3. Regardless of the reason–be it his perseverance, or his ability to win despite playing the low tier “Big Bodies” team of Hulk, Haggar, and Sentinel–it is hard to root against the 2015 Evolution Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 champion. After deciding to dedicate his life to traveling the world to hone his skills, the Chilean has become hard to rival in his masterful play.

RoK the Reaper recently sat down with the man himself to discuss his origins in the fighting game community, and how he managed to rise to prominence within Marvel. González states that it was all through hard work, stating “I’m a slow learner, so… yeah, it did take me some time. But I’m also willing to put that, and put the effort, and I was able to improve and mold the team into what it eventually became.” He also states, “I want my skill to be the thing I’m remembered for, not out of game antics,” thereby maintaining humility inside and outside of the game. He further goes on to state that he is looking into other games–particularly The King of Fighters XIV, claiming that Chile is, “one of the best local scenes for KOF worldwide”– to be competitive in, but further states that he won’t be dropping Marvel any time soon.
