Street Fighter V’s September 22 Update Includes Anti-Crack Patch for PC

As part of today’s scheduled server maintenance and update to Street Fighter V, PC users are getting a bit of extra patching: a client-side anti-crack solution to prevent “certain users from hacking the executable” and “also prevents memory address hack that are commonly used for cheating and illicitly obtaining in-game currency and other entitlements that haven’t been purchased yet.”

For an example, one can look to the birthday present a PC user recently arranged for RZR|Xian, in which Xian’s name was placed at the top of the CFN rankings on a F.A.N.G profile with a very generous League Points lead.

Marvel Heroes 2016 – Gazillion’s Massive Plans May Be Worth The Wait

Face it, 2016 hasn’t necessarily been a kind year to Marvel Heroes. The year’s first few months had the game’s dev team tied up pushing out movie tie-in content for Captain America: Civil War and things have been pretty dry since then. As it would turn out, this dry spell was a bit of a gambit on Gazillions part: risk players being bored in the short term in order to execute on some massive plans that would deal with some Marvel Heroes’ most significant long term issues.

Chaos Code: New Sign of Catastrophe PS4 Trophies Surface, Possible Release Soon?

The last time many people heard about FK Digital’s Chaos Code, the game was a somewhat forgotten release on PlayStation 3. A sequel, Chaos Code: New Sign of Catastrophe, had been quietly announced for PlayStation 4 early this year, however not much has been heard since then–until now.

Exophase, a site which tracks players trophy and achievement activity, has recently uncovered trophies for Chaos Code: New Sign of Catastrophe for PlayStation 4. While no official announcement has been made as of yet, it’s highly likely that a release for the game is planned sometime soon.

New fighting game releases are always a good thing–and it’s nice to see a small company like FK Digital continue to do work on a series, even if it doesn’t become as popular as other fighters.

In the meantime, here’s the original announcement trailer from back in January.

Panda Global’s Filipino Champ to Take On NBA Legend Shaquille O’Neal in Street Fighter V

Street Fighter V has been no stranger to attention from “mainstream” celebrities. The series launched with an exhibition set between MadCatz’ Daigo Umehara and rapper Lupe Fiasco. More recently, legendary basketball player and sportscaster Bill Walton was at Evo, where he had great things to say about the event.

Now, another celebrity and former athlete is throwing his hat in the the virtual ring. Bud Light All-Stars has set up NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal to take on Panda Global’s Ryan “Filipino Champ” Ramirez in some Street Fighter V sets sometime next week.

While this set may surprise some, O’Neal is a well known supporter of esports and competitive gaming, himself being an investor in the NRG eSports team. The match with FChamp itself is only part of what they will be doing on the upcoming stream. O’Neal and FChamp will also be talking about the Bud Light Esports Bash at TwitchCon next week.

And just in case having to take on one of the top Street Fighter V players in the US in said game seems unfair, FChamp and Shaq will also be playing each other in an (as of yet undisclosed) basketball game.
