ZeRo Sets His Sights on Rebalancing Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, Starting with Jigglypuff
While it is unclear whether Smash 4 will get patched again during its life cycle, it doesn’t stop players contemplating about how they would rebalance the game to buff or nerf certain characters. Just as MagicScrumpy is attempting to create balanced versions of each Melee character, TSM|ZeRo has begun a new series where he is offering his opinions on how he would balance the Smash 4 cast.
He has chosen Jigglypuff as his first victim, the singing puffball who is widely regarded as the worst character in the game. Jigglypuff has not received any balance changes since the release of Smash 4 on the Wii U, meaning that her glaring flaws have only become more pronounced as the meta has developed. Some of ZeRo’s main suggestions are to improve Jiggly’s grab game in some way, by actually giving her combos out of throws or improving the flat damage of her throws. Another idea is to increase the damage on Rest because as it stands, the move doesn’t lead into a KO as it does in Melee, and the Puff player is put in such a disadvantageous position after a missed Rest that you might as well not bother.
I would like to see Puff buffed, as no-one likes to see completely awful characters, but I’m more interested in seeing how ZeRo would balance my former main Ganondorf. He needs some proper love and attention, not just more damage on rarely used moves.

Tom seems to have put together quite the fight camp in New York.
Private Nakagawa: This time, we have Tom’s friends, who regularly come to his gym. The gym hosts all types of martial arts styles. They are also the guys who spar with Alex.
