Marvel at These 100% Combos from “Jackie Chan in Fists of Fire”

Kaneko departed from this gaming world in 2006, leaving behind a legacy of controversial arcade titles. About a decade prior to that, however, they gave the world two bizarre little gifts: “The Kung-Fu Master Jackie Chan” and a subsequent arcade update, “Jackie Chan in Fists of Fire: Jackie Chan Densetsu”.

Featuring a cast of 9 characters (3 of which are Jackie Chan from various movie roles), this frenzied fighter has a four button magic series, cancelable forward dashes, and a limited juggle system. You might think 30 seconds is way too short for a fighting game, until you see that every character can do this:

You may never be in a position to play Fists of Fire legally–the game only appears  in arcade form, and it’s unlikely anyone will get distribution rights to the game anytime soon. If you have a NicoNico account, though, you can occasionally find this gem in some occasional offline tournaments in Japan.

Tokido Talks to Yahoo! about His Performance at Southeast Asia Majors

Hajime “Tokido” Taniguchi took a long while to secure his second major win of the year, with four months between his win at CEO and his win last weekend at Southeast Asia Majors. But the man has been working hard at preparing himself for success.

In this interview with Michael Martin of Yahoo! Esports, Tokido talks about his new training regimen, which cuts his usual practice time by half and allows himself time to watch videos to study outside of the game. He also talks about his rivalry with Evil Geniuses’ Yusuke Momochi, who just usurped Tokido’s #1 position on Capcom Fighters Network and his tournament travel plans between now and Capcom Cup–which he is already qualified for.
