Leffen’s United States Visa Approved at Last

Team SoloMid’s William “Leffen” Hjelte has had a long and arduous road to make it back to the United States for competitive play. When we had last reported on this issue, Leffen had announced that he was unable to attend Evolution 2016 due to the processing time involved in receiving a visa to compete in tournaments.

Today, it was announced that his visa application had finally cleared, and his visa has been approved.

Approval doesn’t mean that the visa is in his passport just yet, however. Because of this, Leffen has announced that his attendance of The Big House 6 is still up in the air at this moment.

While this means that he may not be able to attend one of the biggest majors in competitive Smash, it is now certain that the United States will see Leffen back on shore very soon, and should certainly confirm his attendance for Evolution 2017–should Super Smash Bros. Melee once again make the roster.

Capcom Announces Premium Street Fighter V Halloween Costumes & Stage Update for October

Getting into the Halloween spirit, Capcom announced an October Street Fighter V update that will include a set of seven spooky premium skins and a creeped-out version of the Underground Arena stage. The costumes will be available for $3.99/3.99€/£3.29–which includes all 10 colors–and the stage can either be purchased for $1.99/1.99€/£1.29 or 40,000 Fight Money. It was also announced that the new costumes and stages will be available to try for free at New York Comic Con, which begins on October 6th and precedes the official release of the update. The exclusive content will only be available from October 11th until November 29th, so Halloween enthusiasts have until then to pick it up.

A Ghostly samurai Ryu, a Franken-Nash and a Wolfman Necalli are just a few of the disguises shown off. Check out the gallery of all the costumes previewed below.

Bombs and Knives: Smash and Grab Shows Off Ibuki’s Style in Their Latest Street Fighter V Combo Video

While she might not be the strongest of the game’s DLC characters, Ibuki certainly has the tools to put together some stylish combos. Her bomb V-trigger combined with her kunai throwing knives allows her to set up some pretty impressive-looking juggles in the right hands.

Style is exactly what Smash and Grab focuses on in their latest combo video for Ibuki. In the video below, you’ll see them explore the kunoichi’s potential with said tools, including a few mid-combo reloads, as well as a sick looking reset or two.

Final Fantasy XV – Death Magic Spell Shown in New Trailer

Final Fantasy XV will feature some powerful magic, not the least of which is the Death Magic spell shown in a brand new trailer released by Square Enix.
