¡Olé! Kobra_47 Shows Off Vega’s Fancy Footwork with a V-Skill Montage

When you’re playing a character obsessed with beauty and grace, you sometimes have to give opponents the old razzle-dazzle. In this highly disrespectful Vega montage, Kobra_47 shows off the assassin’s flamenco skills, by effortlessly dodging oncoming attacks with Vega’s V-Skill. As it is upper body invincible, the Matador Turn allows Vega to dodge jump-ins and incoming fireballs, giving the perfect opportunity for a follow-up after a successful Turn.

Should you get a read on your opponent’s patterns, V-Skill dodges become a legitimate strategy for defence and a perfect way to style on your enemy. Some of the dodges and V-Skill baits in Kobra’s video are downright rude, but they perfectly fit with Vega’s characteristic arrogance. Check out the full montage below and maybe start practicing your dance moves if you are a Vega player.

Iron Galaxy Announce New Balance Survey for Killer Instinct

In their most recent Textual Stream, Iron Galaxy have asked Killer Instinct fans to fill out a new balance survey, to help aid their future patches and changes to KI. This survey mainly focuses around combo breaking, with Iron Galaxy asking questions about whether combo breaking is too easy, whether the potential damage cleared by combo breaking is too much or too little and gauging how both attackers and defenders feel when they combo break.

One of the main complaints about Season 3 is the strength of guess breaking compared to actually reading your opponent’s moves and breaking correctly, so it seems Iron Galaxy is attempting to redress the balance by potentially making guess breaking less of a viable option.

In addition to this survey, the Textual Stream did hint that some big Killer Instinct related stuff is being revealed in the not too distant future, with it happening after Halloween but before Thanksgiving. With another recent survey asking about potential new characters for Killer Instinct, this may be a hint at an upcoming Season 4 reveal. Make sure to read the whole stream, which also confirms that all input bugs which came with the Shadow Lords update should be fixed upon the release of the next patch.

Check Out Mai Natsume’s Colors, Special Interactions and Combo Trials in This BlazBlue: Central Fiction Roundup

The days are ticking away until Mai Natsume becomes available to all Western BlazBlue fans, but that isn’t stopping details from surfacing. We covered some initial tech and combo discoveries from Japanese players earlier in the week, so here are some videos showing off other aspects of Mai, like her special interactions with other characters on the roster.

First up are colors 1-22 for her, as well as some of her Distortion Drives and Astral Finishes. This compilation is brought to us by Jourdal, whose channel is home to all sorts of Blazblue content, including gameplay and CMVs.

Next we have her trials, shown off by Dandy Antagonist. Some of her trials appear fairly basic, and she gets good corner carry off of most conversions.

As is the norm with ArcSys games, special interactions are available when Mai comes across other key members of the cast. Here is a compilation of all of them.

Lastly we have some gameplay through replays, provided by Yoshi SF.

Keep Your Opponent on The Ropes with These Meaty Setups After Grab With Balrog in Street Fighter V

Knowing for his explosive damage output once he gets an opening, Balrog can also guarantee pressure after a forward or back throw with specific meaty setups. Top ranked Balrog player Brian_F has compiled a list of these specific post throw meaty setups, to help other Balrogs continue their onslaught of power punches.

He goes through each setup, based on Balrog’s screen position and whether you perform a forward or back throw. Brian_F does include input notation for each setup, as well as listing how safe or unsafe each setup is on hit, on block or on counter-hit. There are even setups made for characters with three or four frame jabs, with the three frame meaty setup resulting in a favorable trade for Balrog.
