BelakXvibe Shows Off The Strength of Marth’s “Leo Blade” in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U
Marth is rapidly becoming a candidate for high tier in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, with dedicated players putting in work to develop this swordsmen even further. Doing some further research into the properties of Marth’s Dancing Blade and watching top Marth player MKLeo, BelakXvibe has found a way to land fairly consistent kills using this Side B.
Dancing Blade consists of Marth swinging his sword four times, with players being able to change the type of sword slash by angling the Control Stick in specific ways. If you angle the stick downwards, you get low strikes which lead into a multi hit damage ender, upwards leads into a launcher and holding forwards leads has Marth launching opponents horizontally with the final hit. To perform the “Leo Blade”, players must input down for the third sword strike and then forwards for the last strike, which will result in a kill on most fastfallers from around 85% from the edge of most stages.
The down angled strike for the third hit perfectly positions fastfallers like Fox and Captain Falcon for them to then be hit by the tipper of Marth’s sword on the final, forward angled slash. The third strike also spaces opponents enough of a distance away that if you drop the final hit, you will avoid most punishes.
Check out the whole video to see all the characters that the Leo Blade works on and experiment yourself to see who you can KO with this setup.
