NeoGAF Leak Reveals HORI Fight Sticks and Pads Are Potentially Coming to the Nintendo Switch

We’re coming up to the big Nintendo Switch reveal on Thursday, and it’s only likely that leaks and rumors are going to come out. In a post by user yoonshik on NeoGAF, which has gathered screenshots from the Twitter account DroidXAce, documents have apparently leaked from HORI’s European division which show off multiple accessories coming to the Switch.

While the majority of these leaked accessories are things like decals for the JoyCon, charging stands, a LAN adapter, and even a charger that plugs into a car’s cigarette lighter, the main two peripherals that are important to members of the FGC are a Switch edition of the Real Arcade Pro stick, as well as a new HORI pad. In the NeoGAF thread, yoonshik posted what looks like official marketing renders of some of these products, including the HORI fight pad.

Now, if this is real, it possibly confirms two major things for the Switch. One: that fighting games are coming to the Switch in a big way, so much so that they are releasing the RAP stick especially for the system. As HORI previously made a special version of the RAP for the Wii U to play Tekken Tag Tournament 2, this could mean that Tekken 7 could be on its way as a possible Switch launch title. Two: it potentially confirms that a Pokkén remaster is coming to Switch, seeing as HORI made the special Pokkén fight pads and these new controllers are to replace the old ones. Especially since the DLC fighters from Pokkén have yet to arrive on the Wii U, it makes the most sense that these characters would arive in a brand new version for the Nintendo Switch.

Of course, there is the strong possibility that the internal documents acquired by DroidXAce are fake, but the marketing renders posted by yoonshik do look authentic. All will no doubt be revealed on Thursday night, so keep an eye on Shoryuken as more develops.

Move Over, El Fuerte! Ramon Dash Cancel Infinite Discovered in The King of Fighters XIV

The days of Run-Stop-Fierce in Street Fighter IV may gone, but infinite-wielding luchadores are still running amok! The below dash cancel loop was discovered by KOF player Onimenodacho Rock.  The combo in the video below is by KCOpedro.

Since the recent update to KOFXIV was only a graphical update, the combo should still be possible in version 1.10. The glitch appears to be due to the fact that Ramon’s crouching jab is dash cancel-able, and works from anything that lets him land a jab. Though the video above shows a HD mode cancel, it’s not necessarily required to start your jab onslaught.

World of Warcraft – Devs Backtrack & Disable Further Artifact Traits in PvP

The World of Warcraft team is on full defensive mode after the rocky deployment of patch 7.1.5 with its massive number of class / spec changes, legendary overhauls, secondary stats realignment and more. Patch notes sent out yesterday contained numerous errors and several alterations to systems and classes that had not been seen on the PTR. Community manager ‘Ornyx’ apologized for the patch notes disaster saying it would “NEVER happen again”.

Rising Up: Season 2 Roundup — Important Changes for F.A.N.G, Laura, Alex, & Guile

With Season 2’s release, most players payed close attention to the buffs and nerfs their main character received; but with 92 pages of notes, it’s quite time-consuming to go through every single character. So, I’ll be making some short videos demonstrating some of the important changes to each character, to allow players to more rapidly brush up on their new mains and opponents.

This next batch of characters covered includes F.A.N.G, Laura, Alex, and Guile. These characters were designed later than the ones I addressed in my first three roundups, so this is the first significant rebalance they’ve seen. This is not a comprehensive list of all changes, simply the ones I deemed most significant to gameplay. I might have overseen the ramifications of certain minor changes, however, so if you feel I left out something important, feel free to leave feedback on the video for me and other viewers.

I’ll try and do one of these videos a day until I’ve covered the changes for all characters. Expect more upcoming character tutorials too, so remember to subscribe to the Shoryuken YouTube channel!
