Relive All the Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike Hype with the Top 8 Footage from Cooperation Cup 15

Much of the FGC had their eyes glued to the yearly event that is Cooperation Cup, the highest profile 3rd Strike event of the year. The event featured some of the highest caliber 3rd Strike play you can find anywhere, making it a truly worthwhile event to watch.

YouTube channel Hagaishi TV compiled the Top 8 segment of the tournament, featuring the best 5-man-teams, making a total of 40 different players. With this many high-level players, we get a nice variety of characters and playstyles.

You can also check out the Pre Co-Op Cup exhibition event below, which showcases some equally amazing play. Be sure to soak up all the 3rd Strike play you can, it’ll be another year before you see this type of competition again.

Guild Wars 2 – The Decline of Build Diversity

In the last year, since the release of Guild Wars 2 Heart of Thorns with its elite specialisations and raids, as well as the increasing difficulty of Fractals of the Mist at higher levels to earn maximum rewards, classes have been forced to take on specific builds and roles to meet the demands of the game. This has carried through to all forms of the game, not just in PvE but also in both the player versus player environments.

– Epic’s Tim Sweeney Thinks Consoles Waning, VR On Rise

In an interview with Glixel, Epic Gaming’s Tim Sweeney has indicated that he believes that VR will be as widely accepted and used by the end of the next decade as smart phones are today. In addition, he believes that consoles are in a “significant” downturn given the lackluster sales over the past holiday season.

WildStar – Power of the Primal Matrix Preview Livestream

Last week, Carbine introduced WildStar players to the upcoming Primal Matrix, a way for max-level characters to continue to progress through the collection of Primal Essence. During a live stream event held on Friday, Jonathan Brown and Chad Moore previewed the Primal Matrix.
