Skullgirls 2nd Encore Player Cadenza Shows Off in These Amazing CMVs

Skullgirls enjoys some truly unique combo potential, thanks in large part to potential team combinations offering new combo extensions. Combo making becomes more expressive than usual, with all sorts of unique ways to continue the combo.

Our combo maker for today is Cadenza, and he’s provided us with some impressive combo compilations. First up is titled Martial Opus and features a combination of Parasoul, Double, and Filia in various orders.

This next combo video’s title, Severin Ties, is a shout out to the Skullgirls player Severine. This CMV uses Sev’s team to make a flashy collage of combo potential.

The final CMV we have the day features “The Twins”, as they’re called, in Fukua and Filia. This video focuses on odd conversions with a fairly strange presentation to match.

VesperArcade Locks On to Cammy’s Street Fighter V Season Two Changes with These Demonstration Videos

VesperArcade continues his demonstration series of Street Fighter V Season Two character changes with a look at Cammy. Considered by many to be a strong character in the game’s initial Season, she’s caused a bit of a stir in the first month of Season Two, as many believe she was buffed into one of the strongest characters in the current climate.

Though her Cannon Spikes had their invincibility reduced, the EX version has increased juggle potential when used in air combos. Her EX Cannon Strike does more damage, in exchange for getting 4 more frames of landing recovery, making it a bit more difficult to pressure opponents afterwards. Her Spiral Arrows also have more juggle potential when used in the air, while the EX version has projectile invincibility for the entire animation, making it easier to deal with zoning. Several normals were improved, by either getting sped up, or becoming more advantageous on hit. Lift Upper is now plus on hit and block, making it a better pressure tool. Perhaps her most striking change is the recovery reduction on her V-Skill, as well as it becoming safe on block.  The hit effect was also changed to leave opponents standing, along with giving her frame advantage. Vesper gave his final thoughts on the changes.

Overall, I would say greatly buffed, because of how strong Cammy was in Season 1. She has even better pressure now on normals, which is insane that Capcom would buff that, especially her standing Medium Punch and her B+MP. Her V-Reversal, one of the worst in the game, got buffed. This is especially important because it crosses you up, it turns the tables. So if you’re in the corner, you put your opponent in the corner if they don’t stop it. She’s already a character that hits you once and she can snowball, but now she has even more juggle options to get more damage. Cammy was already considered a top tier character in Season 1. The fact that Capcom buffed her pressure and combo potential even more is going to make Cammy one of the best characters in Season 2 in my opinion.

You can hear about all her changes in full below.

He also provided a visual look at her changes and new combos.
