Dauntless was the game I was looking forward to seeing the most at PAX South. Phoenix Labs’ giant-monster battler captured my, and a lot of other people’s, attention with its splashy debut at the Video Game Awards late last year, and I couldn’t wait to take my turn to hunt down a giant monster and mount its head on my virtual trophy wall.

While that is still true, a new dimension has been added with the Tek Update that brings science fiction to the land of dinosaurs. Players will be able to craft futuristic gear and weaponry including powered armor suits, dinosaur-mounted cannons, plasma rifles and much more.

– Final Fantasy’s 30th — FFXII Headed to PS4 on July 11th
Final Fantasy is turning 30 years old this year and as part of the celebratory air, Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age, originally released for PlayStation 2, will be coming to PlayStation 4 on July 11th. FFXII will feature enhanced high-definition graphics, a remastered soundtrack, an auto-save feature, Trial Mode and much more. In addition, players in the West will be able to experience the 12-job character progression system originally only in Japan.
Guild Wars 2 – Living World’s Head of the Snake Coming on February 7th
Guild Wars 2 will see the continuation of Living World Season 3 with the February 7th release of Episode 4: The Head of the Snake. Queen Jennah will summon players to her as she tries to uncover the corruption in Divinity’s Reach. Players will also be able to take part in a new raid wing called Bastion of the Penitent. The raid will include four bosses.
