Vainglory – New 5-Minute Game Format Added in Latest Update

Vainglory has been updated to v2.1 that adds a new 5-minute game format called Blitz Mode. In addition, players can get hold of the Epic Mystery Chest which offers a chance to get any hero or skin that currently is for sale in the market. Lastly, new supporter badges, hero skins, the Lunar New Year Map and other tweaks / balances have been added.

Snail Games has sent out a bit more information about how Dark & Light creatures can be captured and tamed. Over forty creatures can be captured and tamed, from the familiar to the exotic. Players can locate, capture and tame boar, elk, unicorns, dragons and others that are as yet unrevealed.

Shards Online – Adventures in Alpha

If I’m honest, I wasn’t expecting to enjoy Shards Online. The retro-style MMO by Citadel Studios – a tribute to classics like Ultima Online – just didn’t grab me. The Diablo-esque graphical perspective, slow skill grinds and nod to player-killing just didn’t sound appealing in an era of sumptuous 3D and safe theme-park rides.
