Alex Valle Discusses the Handling of Capcom Cup’s Brackets in Conversations and Fireballs Episode 2
Alex Valle and Level Up were approached by Capcom late into the Capcom Pro Tour season; they were then asked to host the to road to top 8 of Capcom Cup at the Esports Arena in SoCal. The results, and the criticism, has been well-documented.
However, Valle stepped up to talk to Michael Martin on the latest episode of Conversations and Fireballs to discuss what was going on in the back of the event. He also discusses how he has since responded to the critics of the event.

Europe’s First Five Capcom Pro Tour 2017 Dates & Locations Revealed
The WinnerStaysOn stream gave us a cross-section of what the European leg of the tour will look like.
During today’s WinnerStaysOn stream on Capcom Fighters, Capcom’s Matt Edwards and host Logan Sama gave us a peek ahead at what events will host the European section of the Capcom Pro Tour in 2017. Here are the upcoming dates and locations as stated:
- Sonic Boom Summer Edition: April 1-2; Madrid, Spain
- Ultimate Fighting Arena: April 8-9; Paris, France
- Hypespotting VI: April 15; Glasgow, Scotland
- The Colosseum: May 6-7; Rome, Italy
- FFM Rumble 10: May 19-21; Frankfurt, Germany
Capcom’s CPT main page has not yet been updated at the time of writing, so changes may yet occur–as for which events are Premier and which are Ranking, only Ultimate Fighting Arena in Paris was confirmed to be a Premier event so far, but there will be others–possible out of these five, possibly not–as Edwards indicated that there would likely be about thirteen CPT events in Europe (aside from the Regional Finals), with up to three Premier events.
The Capcom Pro Tour has been to three of these five stops before, with Rome’s The Colosseum and Paris’ Ultimate Fighting Arena as new locations for 2017’s tour.

– Bioware’s Next Project is an ARPG Coming in March 2018
During today’s EA investor conference, EA announced that Bioware’s next game, an original IP, will be ready to hit live status in March 2018. According to information offered during the call, the game is considered an ARPG that started development in 2012 with new characters, stories and game play aspirations.
Undamned to Open Up UD-CPS2 Production to Kit Form
Undamned’s UD-CPS2 has been a highly sought-after item since its announcement in 2011, and release in 2012. The “consolized” version of Capcom’s CPS2 arcade hardware has allowed players to easily use the original hardware found in arcades to play arcade-perfect versions of games such as Super Street Fighter II Turbo and Vampire Savior on their own TVs with modern USB joysticks.
Over recent years, production of the unit has slowed, with yet more people joining the wait list for the coveted item. Recently, Undamned took to SRK’s forums to announce that he was ceasing personal production of fully assembled UD-CPS2s. He cited an increased demand on his time elsewhere as one of the reasons. He currently has enough equipment to build 25 more, which already claimed three times over. After production of these, his focus will shift to releasing it into kit form.
While this sounds like sad news, the kit form will allow anyone with technical prowess to build their own at a lower cost than the actual assembled version from Undamned. Should you not have the prowess to do so yourself, Undamned is also creating a master list of approved modders who will be capable of doing the assembly for you. These moves will ultimately allow for more UD-CPS2 to be out in the wild than before.
