Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2 to have a third and final location test

The Japanese Arc System Works account dropped an announcement recently regarding Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2. The upcoming revision to Xrd -REVELATOR- will have one more location test. As usual, the aim is to introduce a number of changes to the cast and some system modifications and to have players playtest the new version.

This time, starting from March 16th in Japan, the testing will take an entire week. Taking footage and photos is forbidden, though occasional media has slipped through the cracks. However, we can probably expect a full list of changes–as Arc System Works has provided official patch notes before in Japanese.

According to Tokkan, this will be the last location test for the game.

Additionally, according to BjornSonOfBear, a Korean event called PlayStation Arena will have a playable preview version of REV 2, this weekend.

Stay tuned to SRK as we get our hands on the changes coming to Guilty Gear Xrd. Refer to our location test patch notes translation to find out what happened in the previous one.

REV 2 is on track to release in Japan on May 25th for the PlayStation 3 and 4, as both a stand-alone game and a DLC upgrade for -REVELATOR-.

Let’s get ready to Pocket Rumble! These Early Access sets showcase high-level play before release

Pocket Rumble is a very distinct game in today’s market: being one of only a handful of successfully-crowdfunded fighters, in addition to capturing the look of a two-decade old handheld game, there’s certainly a distinct air about the title. While the game isn’t officially out yet, the recent announcement of the Nintendo Switch version heralds the game finally coming out of Early Access on Steam as well.

While the game is releasing in its full capacity soon, that doesn’t mean it’s new for everyone–some have been playing the game for quite a while, and there’s already high-level footage of the game in action. We have some of that for you here today, featuring Waasiq as the ethereal June and TheBodyBoy playing electric businessman Parker.
