Street Fighter V servers going down for maintenance once again this Tuesday

For those looking forward to playing some Street Fighter V online after watching the hype action from Final Round XX, it seems that your time to do so may be cut a bit short. An in-game message has just confirmed that the game’s online servers will be going down for maintenance again this Tuesday, March 14.

Street Fighter V’s online servers will go down for maintenance from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM PDT on Tuesday, March 14. During this time, players will not be able to fight online, access the Capcom Fighters Network for replays, nor be able to earn any fight money.

Now the 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM schedule shouldn’t affect those in the western hemisphere too much, since it coincides with work hours. However, players in other time zones will be affected much more, and any looking to get some matches should likely try to arrange for some offline sets.

Could we be finally seeing some of the promised Spring patching? As of yet, Capcom has not indicated any game additions to be arriving during this maintenance period.

Chronicles of Elyria – PAX East 2017 – A Chat with Jeromy Walsh

This weekend we took time to sit with the Chronicles of Elyria and go through some of their steps to break down development of the game. Jeromy Walsh and Director of Production, Vye Alexander gave us a break down of where the game is moving and how quickly their team is expanding.

Firestorm lights it up in Injustice 2

Revealed by Xavier Woods and his buddies over on his YouTube channel UpUpDownDown, the hothead atomic manipulator Firestorm will be joining the Injustice 2 roster. NetherRealm have chosen the second Firestorm, Jax Jackson, to hold the torch for this iteration–which is no doubt building off the character’s appearance in the DC TV shows The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow.

As a long-range fighter, Firestorm uses fireballs and other flaming projectiles to keep opponents out while he jets around the screen using his flame powers. His character trait is his nuclear level, where Firestorm can augment his powers, turning the fires on his body bright blue. It is uncertain if these blue flames are just a damage buff, or whether they drastically change his specials.

The gameplay footage is fairly short, but you can find it timestamped in the video below. Make sure to watch the full studio tour, as Woods has a brief chat with Ed Boon before showing off the flaming superhero.

Atlas Reactor – Rift’s Defiant Asha Catari to Become Next Freelancer

Atlas Reactor will be getting a visit from Rift’s Asha Catari when she arrives as the game’s next Freelancer. While her Atlas Reactor character will look a bit different, there is no question that this sword-wielding Freelancer is Rift’s Defiant heroine. By all reports, her AR fighting-style will be very similar to how she battles in Rift.
