The King of Fighters series has a reputation for being one of the more technically-demanding ground-based fighters. As such, many people are put off from trying to play the game’s latest iteration–The King of Fighters XIV–competitively.

To help address this, Gillstolemyride has been doing a series of tutorial videos for The King of Fighters XIV. The latest installment of this tutorial series focuses on advanced tactics. Specifically, it goes over safe bypasses, punishes, safe jumps, option selects, as well as even more seemingly complex concepts such as backdashing and jumping through strings, guard cancelling through strings, and differing kinds of buffering tricks.
