Tekken 7 roundup: desk’s Akuma, beginner Feng combos, King neutral guide, fighting Lucky Chloe, and more!
Another day, another influx of Tekken 7 videos! The content being made by the community is still largely combo videos; perhaps not a surprise, given Tekken’s versatile juggle system. There’s more videos now covering meta-shaping concepts, however, such as neutral and punishes. Let’s jump in!
First, it’s really worth noting that Tekken 7’s combo potential is so hype that not even famed Street Fighter YouTuber desk couldn’t keep himself from trying Akuma.
Feng is shaping up to be a great character for beginners, thanks to relatively easy ways to get high damage and solid tools. rooflemonger shows off some entry level combos for the God Fist Style user.
I wasn’t kidding about his punishes. Look at TekkenOtakuHD‘s video to see his great punishment game!
If you’re a Street Fighter player looking to ease into Tekken, jmcrofts has been working on a fairly expansive series of tutorial videos designed exactly or this purpose. Below is a playlist of the seven (so far) fundamental-focused videos to help you get started!
Learning to fight a new character is really difficult, particularly in Tekken. King Jae broke down the new character Lucky Chloe both for you and himself, giving a great example of how a pro looks at the learning process.
How is Tekken going for you? Is it still just combos and magic, or are you finding yourself exploring the nuance of the game’s neutral yet?

In-Development Indie Fighter Punch Planet shows off new Dog combos, match footage
Sector-K Games has continued to make progress on their sci-fi fighter Punch Planet, and has remained completely transparent with their community throughout the process. Recently, they showed off a series of match footage from their current build, and new combo footage for the game’s most ferocious bounty hunter, Dog.
The dog footage shows off the strong pressure, cross-ups, run-unders, and more that this fanged fighter is capable of.
And the hour-long match video opens with some training-mode examples of Cid combos, before leading into the footsie-focused casual matches.
Punch Planet is in development for Steam by Sector-K Games, and you can find more information about the battle system and story on their official website.
