Ryu’s Jodan Nirengeki target combo (st.HP, HK) is not generally considered the strongest option in his move-list. The HK whiffs crouchers, leaving most players to simply use st.HP by itself to crush counter. NurseLee, however, sees potential beyond just the damage output of this string.
After the knockdown, by using Ryu’s Solar Plexus Strike (f.HP) after a dash, you can safely option select nearly every back tech/no tech option your opponent can pull out. NurseLee’s video demonstrates the setup, spacing, and frame data behind these setups to make your Ryu a rushdown monster.

VesperArcade discusses Abigail–possibly the next DLC character for Street Fighter V
A likely candidate for Street Fighter V’s next new brawler.
The arrival of Ed in Street Fighter V, along with the presence of the Fortune Teller in his story mode–believed to be named Menat–has brought a fair amount of believability to the leaked Season 2 character roster that proclaimed the three remaining fighters to be Menat, Abigail, and Zeku.
In the video below, VesperArcade explores what we know about Abigail–a boss character from Final Fight. Multiple characters have already made the jump from Final Fight to Street Fighter in prior games: Guy, Cody, Sodom, Rolento, and Poison are all from the Final Fight franchise, so it’s quite reasonable that another could cross over. However, it’s the combination of the name and how closely Abigail’s big body matches the preview silhouette that lends the most credibility to the leak.
