Mass Effect: Andromeda – Character Creation Options & Expanded Romance for Male Ryder

BioWare has published the patch notes for the next update to Mass Effect Andromeda. Much of what is contained in the update are things directly requested via community feedback. Players can look forward to improved character creation options, the ability for male Ryder to romance Jaal, alterations in the conversation with Hainly Abrams and much more. A long list of bug fixes and other issues have been addressed for multiplayer as well.

Zack “CaptainZack” Lauth joins Phoenix1 as their third Super Smash Bros. player

Joining Gavin “Tweek” Dempsey and James “Duck” Ma on their roster, Zack “CaptainZack” Lauth has become the third Smash player on Phoenix1’s roster. As one of the world’s best Bayonetta mains at only 15 years old, Zack really shot to prominence with fourth place performances at two of Super Smash Bros. for Wii U’s biggest tournaments, Genesis 4 and 2GGC: Civil War. He’s also infamous for his post-victory celebrations–where he literally styles on the opponent by performing Bayonetta’s dance taunt.

Currently ranked 20th on the Panda Global Rankings, CaptainZack is expect to make the top 10 in the upcoming rankings. According to Phoenix1’s director of business developer Charlie Lipsie, Zack will now “earn a salary” and his team will be “covering all the travel and hotel expenses so he can focus on his gameplay, and his dance moves.”

With the Summer of Smash now truly upon us with Nairo Saga this weekend and CEO the weekend after, expect Zack to be showing off his dance moves in a new black and orange jersey soon.

Twitch and T-Mobile to host Esports Arena at E3, featuring Street Fighter V, Tekken 7, & Injustice 2

The month of June is always a busy and exciting time for anyone involved in the gaming industry–as the annual Electronic Entertainment Expo will be held in Los Angeles, and for the first time ever, it will be open to the public this year! To commemorate the occasion, Twitch and T-Mobile are teaming up to bring an Esports Arena Tournament Series to the show floor, featuring professional competition in three of the hottest fighting game titles currently on the scene: Street Fighter V, Tekken 7, and Injustice 2.

Though the free-of-charge event will be held outdoors at L.A. Live, T-Mobile will be providing customers who visit the Twitch Esports Arena with access to a VIP seating area, to have the best seat in the house to catch the action. Viewers can also vote across both Twitch and Twitter on who they think will be the MVP of each match, by using the hashtag #TMobileMVP, along with the tag of their nominee. Though we are currently unaware of the players and match-ups that will be on display, we know the event schedule is as follows:

• Tuesday, June 13 – Day 1 will feature matches on Street Fighter V from 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM PDT.
• Wednesday, June 14 – Day 2 will feature matches on Tekken 7 from 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM PDT.
• Thursday, June 15 – Day 3 will feature matches on Injustice 2 from 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM PDT.

For those unable to attend the event in person, all of the action will be streamed on https://www.twitch.tv/twitchesports. Nintendo has even caught the esports fever, as they will be hosting their own open invitational tournaments for ARMS and Splatoon 2.
