Elder Scrolls Online has been updated with the “next chapter to ESO”, Morrowind. Game Director Matt Firor has posted a “Welcome to Morrowind” letter on the ESO site with thanks to the community for their support, feedback and criticism. He lets everyone know that the next months will be focused on improving the game as well as adding “a suite of new content, quality of life and balance updates and DLC game packs”.
Pokkén Tournament DX is coming to Nintendo Switch on September 22nd
In today’s Pokémon-themed Nintendo Direct, it has been revealed that Pokkén Tournament will be coming to the Nintendo Switch later this year. Titled Pokkén Tournament DX, this deluxe edition will include the four extra characters from the arcade edition of Pokkén–Scizor, Darkrai, Croagunk and Empoleon–along with new fighter Decidueye from Pokémon Sun and Moon.
Along with this, Pokkén Tournament DX will feature special 3v3 team battles similar to King of Fighters, where players pick three Pokemon to fight in a lengthier battle. As with the Wii U version of Pokkén, there will also be your typical Ranked and player matches, with players being able to pair their individual Switch systems together for local multiplayer. There is also the ability to play on a single Switch system, using the two JoyCon controllers.
Pokkén Tournament DX will launch worldwide on September 22nd, with it featuring at this year’s E3. Attendees of the show will be able to play a demo version of Pokkén Tournament DX, with Nintendo holding a special on-stage event during their Treehouse streaming block.

– Bill Roper Hired by Improbable as Chief Creative Officer
Bill Roper has been hired by Improbable, makers of SpatialOS, as its Chief Creative Officer. His duties will include networking with development studios to make use of the cloud-based platform’s features to expand and enhance new game play types within “massive, detailed and persistent online worlds”.
SMITE – New Adventures – Trials of King Hercules Arrives Today
The SMITE team has added a new ‘Adventure’ to the game today with the release of The Trials of King Heracles. It is considered a “cooperative RPG” feature within SMITE and offers groups of three a chance to venture through a dungeon and to work cooperatively.

Fans of Diablo 2 will be happy to hear that one of the most anticipated mods, The Curse of Tristram, is preparing for beta testing sometime in Summer 2017. The mod is recreating Diablo 2 using the Starcraft 2 modding tools and it’s a pretty impressive project. The MMO Bookclub is a group of MMO players who are tired of playing games alone. Each “cycle”, players vote on a new game to play for a limited time. During that time, events are scheduled to include all members. After about three months, a vote is taken to choose the next game. After having played Lord of the Rings Online most recently, the time has come for the group to select the next adventure.
