BoxeR-King shows off advanced stage manipulation for Tekken 7’s King

You may have your combos down for your character, but how good is your stage awareness? As BoxeR-King demonstrates in this excellent tech video, your understanding of the stage layout could make all the difference in your Tekken 7 games.

King players have obvious reasons to watch this. Anyone, however, should be able to learn about how to take advantage of breakable walls, octagon stages, and other nuances in stage awareness. In the end, this is not about pre-canned strings,but about knowing how to adapt your combos on the fly to your positioning.

Yahoo Esports sits down with Tekken Master to talk Injustice 2, the Middle Eastern FGC and his tag

Following his standout performance at Combo Breaker 2017, Michael Martin of Yahoo Esports got the chance to sit down with Sayed “Tekken Master” Hashim Ahmed to discuss his thoughts on Injustice 2, his local scene and his perplexing tag.

Before he got heavily into NRS fighters like Mortal Kombat X and Injustice 2, Ahmed was the Tekken master in his home country of Bahrain, winning multiple events for both Tekken 6 and Tekken Tag Tournament 2. For being the best in the Middle East, he was given the tag of Tekken Master and it just stuck.

While the Middle Eastern FGC has had trouble growing in the past, the success of players like Tekken Master has inspired more players to pick up fighting games and try competing in their local scenes. Despite it being a small island, his local Bahraini scene is growing and we’ll hopefully see more players attending big tournaments in the enar future.

As for Injustice 2, Tekken Master consciously swapped to Atrocitus so his opponents wouldn’t already be familiar with the play-style of his previous characters, Superman and Green Lantern. While it’s still early days, Tekken Master says his top five characters to be Supergirl, Deadshot, Black Adam, Catwoman and Aquaman. The two talk about much more in the interview, so the whole thing is worth a watch.

Tame the Red Cyclone with The Prince’s anti-Zangief V-Reversal tech

Having trouble dealing with Zangief’s V-Reversal? YouTuber The Prince has been working on a video series detailing what the entire cast can do to shut down the Red Cyclone’s panic flex.

In the video above, tech is shown for Cammy, Fang, Kolin, Dhalsim, Zangief, Vega, Guile, and Urien. As stated before, the vast majority of these capitalize on special cancel confirms versus the V-Reversal freeze animation, so you cancel into your own invincible special move. If your character isn’t listed above, perhaps you missed them in parts 1 and 2?
