Hedlok mode coming to ARMS alongside Max Brass in today’s update
As you may already know, ARMS is getting its first DLC character today in the form of Max Brass. In addition to this however, ARMS is also getting a new mode focusing on a previously-unplayable boss character. Previously only encountered as the boss of several single player modes, Hedlok now gets its own dedicated multiplayer mode.
In an interview with Eurogamer, ARMS producer Kosuke Yabuki talked about the mode. “There is a new versus mode where in a fight between two or three players there’s a Hedlok mask players battle over, and when you get the mask your own character can turn into Hedlok,” he explains, “If one player turns into Hedlok it’ll be up to the other players to take him down.” He further clarified that Hedlok mode would not be limited to one-on-one versus mode, but that it would be available online and in every multiplayer mode as well.
In addition to Hedlok Mode and Max Brass, ARMS’ new update also includes a few balance tweaks. While Yabuki didn’t go into specific details, he promised that the changes are being made so that characters don’t feel any “less good” than before.

PG Stats release their own Super Smash Bros. for Wii U character tier list, based on votes from the PGR v3 panel
With the PGR v3 concluded, the PG Stats team have released a Smash 4 character tier list, decided by the panel that helped formulate the recent global rankings. Based on recent results and trusted opinions from 35 experts, you can find this tier list below:
Bayonetta and Diddy were tied for first, with both characters scoring a total of 9.94 on the 1-10 ranking. If you compare to the 4BR Tier List from back in March of this year, there has been very little change among the top tiers. The only massive leap has been with Rosalina, who has risen from eighth to fifth place. You can thank the combined performance of Kirihara and Dabuz for that resurgence.
DK has seen the biggest change in position, moving 13 places from 28th to 15th. Samus has also flown up the list, shifting from 40th to 30th. For the entire breakdown of how the panel voted, the scores can be found here.
