Remember the handcuff glitch in Street Fighter II? Ultra Street Fighter II brings it back for E. Honda
If you weren’t around at the beginning of the fighting game revolution, you may not be privy to how one of the most cherished fighting games of all time was also one of the most glitchy. Street Fighter II: The World Warrior featured many glitches, but the most notorious was Guile’s infamous “handcuff” glitch. In this glitch, Guile would input a flash kick immediately after performing a throw. The result: the opponent would be stuck to Guile.
Capcom, sticking to the roots of the Street Fighter II series, seems to have let one slip past QA for Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers. Whereas Guile was the center of the glitch in World Warrior, E. Honda and Dhalsim take center stage in this one. E. Honda is capable of grabbing opponents out of the startup of their supers with his Oicho command grab. However, on Dhalsim, if he were to try to Oicho Dhalsim and Dhalsim performs Yoga Teleport at the exact same time, Dhalsim disappears, and Honda is left hugging air for the rest of the round. The difference between this and the original Guile handcuff glitch is that Guile can actually reset the glitch, and Honda cannot.
2 pic.twitter.com/Fe9AhMZDgD
