Piccolo and Krillin join the Dragon Ball FighterZ roster
In the latest issue of V-Jump, Bandai Namco have revealed that old school Z-Fighters Piccolo and Krillin are the next characters to join the Dragon Ball FighterZ roster. According to the magazine, Krillin’s Supers will be Scattering Bullet and Destructo Disc, while Piccolo will have Light Grenade and Special Beam Cannon.

Krillin’s Destructo Disc will be similar to Freeza’s Death Saucer, being an unblockable projectile which the opponent must dodge. Krillin can also charge up the Super, similar to Gohan’s Father Son Kamehameha. The article also briefly discusses DBFZ’s online system, which has chibi versions of the game’s cast wandering round a lobby, similar to how Guilty Gear Xrd handles matches.
Based on these reveals and the recent announcement that the DBFZ beta will feature nine playable fighters, one can hazard a guess that the roster will be:
- Goku
- Gohan
- Vegeta
- Future Trunks
- Piccolo
- Krillin
- Freeza
- Cell
- Majin Buu
Sign ups for the DBFZ closed beta will open on July 26th, with the beta being available on PS4 and Xbox One.

WoW? ‘WoW-Killers’ or a general lack of guts?”, the article delves into whether or not MMO developers should continue down the same road using the same ideas or if they should “choose a target audience, a demographic within the greater online gaming space, and make the best damn game we can for that group”.
