Registration for the Gamescom Dragon Ball FighterZ tournament is now open!

It’s time to put all the time watching clips of Dragon Ball FighterZ to good use! ESL and Bandai Namco have just opened registration for Gamescom’s official DBFZ tournament. The tournament has a cap of 64 entrants, with all of the action set to be streamed on the ESL’s official Twitch channel on Friday, August 25th at 6:00 AM PDT.

The prodigal son and UK fighting game legend Ryan Hart will be providing commentary, and Namco Bandai have confirmed that the Gamescom build will have Krillin, Piccolo and Future Trunks playable. This build will probably form the basis of the version fans will get to play in DBFZ’s closed beta in September, so make sure to watch the tournament stream and take as many notes as you can!

As for the 10th character scheduled to join the DBFZ beta, they are set to be revealed in the August 21st issue of V-Jump — which is where Krillin and Piccolo were shown off. Android 17 is the bookie’s favorite for the next character to be announced due to statements made by their English voice actor, but Arc System Works may pull a fast one on us and reveal someone brand new. Come on, Ginyu.

Check out some Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite action from VSFighting 2017 and Fight Club NRW 8

Capcom UK has been actively bringing out the latest public build of Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite around the region. In addition to making an appearance at VSFighting 2017 this past weekend, the game was also at Fight Club NRW 8 in Cologne, Germany.

Luckily for those of us who weren’t at either event, UM Tyrant was able to record some matches from both. The matches feature a number of characters who seemingly haven’t been used much in the previous footage that we’ve shared. These include Arthur, Captain America, Hawkeye, Rocket Raccoon, and Chun-Li,  who join characters we have seen a lot of, such as X, Zero, Morrigan, Nemesis, and Frank West.

For those wondering about who’s playing the characters, the footage below usually features UM Tyrant going up against other European Marvel players such as Packs, and Mr. E.

Pokemon Go – Get Ready to Raid Mewtew Soon

Pokemon Go players have been clamoring for Mewtwo since the beginning of the game. The wait is almost over as Mewtwo has made his debut during the Yokohama Pokemon Go stadium event held over the weekend. In the coming weeks, players around the world will also have the opportunity to battle and hopefully capture the iconic Pokemon.

Guild Wars 2 – Hands on With Path of Fire

This weekend, players got to experience the first taste of the Path of Fire expansion. The expansion takes us to the sunburnt wilds of the Crystal Desert, to combat the rising threat of Balthazar, Kralkatorrik and even the Lich, Palawa Joko. Astride their glorious raptor mounts, player got to experience a small chunk of the first map along with the first stage of the story episode that will launch us in to the expansion.
