– Surprise! Warhammer: Vermintide 2 Announced
Fatshark has pulled off the week’s biggest surprise with today’s announcement of Warhammer: Vermintide 2. After selling over 1.5M copies of the original game, the team felt it was time to unleash the news of its sequel. Warhammer: Vermintide 2 will be released for both PC and consoles. For now, that’s all we know, though Fatshark is promising more details at a later date including a special live stream event to be held in October.
Guild Wars 2 – Humanizing Tyria
In the original game of the franchise, Guild Wars 1, players could only take on the role of the Humans. It’s sequel, however, flag shipped the ability to play as many of Tyria’s races, and came with a story that impacted not just humanity, but the world itself. In the last few story episodes- and indeed in the upcoming Path of Fire expansion- Guild Wars 2 has slowly been sliding back in to a human centric story, pushing the other races to the side.

Destiny 2 – Bungie’s Luke Smith Answers Twitter Questions – No PTR Plans
Destiny 2’s Luke Smith spent time with Wired yesterday to answer a bunch of questions coming from the community via Twitter. Among more specific questions about weapon types, Hunter utility and more, Smith admitted that there are no firm plans for a PTR and that private PvP matches are on the future features list, though not necessarily any time soon.
