ELOA: Elite Lord of Alliance – Game&Game Announces Closure – Second Time Was No Charm

The second chance at a new life works out for many games but not for Elite Lord of Alliance (ELOA), it seems. According to a a brief post from Game&Game, the beleaguered game will experience its second death on August 11th. There are no reasons given, though it can be safely assumed that the game did not attract a viable community. This most recent version of the game launched in November 2016 after it was shut down by Webzen after a year of dismal performance.

DOTA 2 – Artifact Card Game is Valve’s New DOTA-Themed Title

Valve has announced “Artifact: The DOTA Card Game”. The announcement was made during the opening ceremonies of The International 7, the eSports extravaganza going on in Seattle, Washington with over $24M up for grabs. The game won’t be out until 2018, but it’s sure to be a smash hit with fans of one of the world’s most popular games.

No Man’s Sky – New Update to Improve Story & Brings Quick Travel

After probably one of the quietest years in post-release game development, Hello Games has announced Atlas Rises, a long-awaited update to No Man’s Sky. It is set for release on or near the anniversary of the game’s deployment on August 9, 2016 for PlayStation 4 and PC/Steam. The free update aims to improve the story and will allow players to “quick travel” throughout the game universe.
