World Warrior’s ‘Git Gud Series’ teaches the basics of Street Fighter V’s shimmy

World Warrior, a content creator we have featured here before, appears to be taking a break from his character-specific content to work on more general stratgey videos. His first topic in his newly dubbed ‘Git Gud’ series is explaining Street Fighter V‘s ‘Shimmy’.

What I find most useful in this, and what I think more general-purpose guides should consider doing, is that World Warrior doesn’t just show you what the ‘Shimmy’ is. He gives you actual exercises to replicate in training mode, immediately followed by in game examples. This guide should quickly help anyone pick up one of SFV’s most important offensive ‘fakes’.

Injustice 2 Watchtower livestream featuring Starfire breakdown set for August 7th

Though the Injustice 2 community is still reeling from the balance changes made in the game’s August Update, NetherRealm Studios is keeping the ball rolling by announcing that the next Injustice 2 Watchtower Livestream will be taking place on Monday, August 7th, at 3 PM CST (1 PM PST). This time, the crew will be providing a breakdown of Injustice 2‘s upcoming third DLC character, Starfire, who will be rounding out Fighter Pack 1, following the releases of Red Hood and Sub-Zero.

If the past is any indication, expect community specialist Tyler Lansdown, designer Derek Kirtzic, Steve “16-Bit” Brownback, and possibly even Paulo Garcia to show off every last detail of the Tamaranean princess. Capcom Fighters wraps up its Street Fighter V Evo coverage with “CPT x EVO” highlight reel

While the Capcom Pro Tour is obviously far from over, the Evolution 2017 was and always will be one of, if not the, biggest stops on the tour. It’s no surprise then that Capcom Fighters‘ last video for Evo is a high budget montage of Street Fighter V‘s finest moments.

This might be reaching a little bit, but I’m going to say it anyways: don’t be surprised if this is the template for future commercials for Capcom. There’s enough hype moments and memorable quotes (thanks, Tokido) to easily cut an ad from. If the CPT finals end up airing again on ESPN, they’ve already got something ready to go.

See eight of Injustice 2’s voice actors compete in a special tournament at Body Count Fighting

Recently, the Body Count Fighting team invited eight voice actors of the Injustice 2 cast to battle it out in an 8-person tournament at their studios in Burbank, California. The participants included:

  • Phil LaMarr (Aquaman, John Stewart Green Lantern)
  • Taliesin Jaffe (The Flash)
  • Susan Eisenberg (Wonder Woman)
  • Joey Naber (Black Adam)
  • Matthew Mercer (Deadshot)
  • Ogie Banks (Firestorm)
  • Charles Halford (Gorilla Grodd)
  • Michael-Leon Wooley (Darkseid)

Though this is certainly not anywhere the most technical or highest-level of competitive play you’ll ever see, it’s undeniably entertaining and it’s great to see the people behind the voices of some of our favorite characters having a great time and enjoying these games as much as we do.
