Eanix signs Injustice 2 player Matthew “Biohazard” Commandeur

The movement of traditional esports teams into the fighting game community continues, with several organizations setting their sights on the Injustice 2 scene. Toronto-based Matthew “Biohazard” Commandeur is the next player to be snapped up in the rush, being signed by Eanix. Commandeur mains Bane and is currently ranked #6 in the Injustice Pro Series and #4 on the Shoryuken world rankings for Injustice 2.

Eanix is a Florida based organization, with teams in Rocket League, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, Vainglory and CS:GO. With the team already having a presence within the world of Smash, this player signing should signal their launch into the larger FGC.

Deal damage like a battery with this King of Fighters XIV 1-bar combo video

Most King of Fighters players play more conservatively with their first character, using them as a battery to build meter for their remaining two characters to do more heavy damage. It’s a legitimate strategy given how difficult it is to win a game off of one character. That doesn’t mean that you can’t give your point character one bar to work with.

In this combo video, we get to see just exactly how damaging a single bar of meter is in The King of Fighters XIV. Showing off the combo potential of every character outside of Xanadu, most of the cast is capable of taking 50% or more off of an opponent’s health, either by way of using Max Mode or doing a Super to end the combo. This opens up your point character in a way that you probably haven’t tried to before.

Catch more of Kichipa-mu’s amazing Zangief in this Street Fighter V highlight reel

While most of Japan Cup’s Top 8 featured names we had all heard and seen before, there was one name that left people in shock. Kichipa-mu, a Japanese Zangief player, managed to to grapple his way to a third place finish, besting out top players such as Xiaohai, Chris Tatarian and Gachikun on his way to the podium.

After seeing this highlight reel from his online play, you can tell that the young man has a lot of amazing reads and setups, and is truly showing what Zangief can do across the board. It’s also a testament to the wealth of talent that has yet to be discovered on the Capcom Pro Tour, and hopefully we’ll see more of him in the near future.
