Eighty Sixed promotes their BlazBlue product line with this new Makoto cosplay video: “Alexandrite”

BlazBlue’s amazing squirrel girl comes to life in this cosplay showcase video.

Continuing their new trend of promoting their merchandise via character cosplays, Eighty Sixed has released this new Arc System Works-approved video featuring cosplay of everyone’s favorite hyperactive demi-human Makoto Nanaya (as portrayed by FlyingOctophant).

Eight Sixed’s collection of BlazBlue-themed keychains and T-shirts (many of which feature the squirrely brawler) can be seen here.

Eighty Sixed previously launched their latest Street Fighter V Dhalsim T-shirt design with a similar promotional cosplay video, Mandala.

UDON reprinting their original Street Fighter stories with new bonus content as STREET FIGHTER RELOADED

UDON’s breakout series returns for new audiences — with new content and at a discount price.

Whether you’re a longtime fan of UDON’s take on the Street Fighter world and characters or a new reader, new comics are arriving this November that you’ll want to look out for! UDON is bringing back their original Street Fighter comics, reprinted as “Street Fighter Reloaded” with additional new content — and at a discount price of 99¢ a book. From UDON Entertainment:

STREET FIGHTER™ RELOADED is a re-release of UDON’s original Street Fighter comic series STREET FIGHTER™ (2003) #1-6. This is the series that started UDON’s venture into publishing nearly 15 years ago. Written by Ken Siu-Chong, main story artwork is provided by artists Arnold Tsang (now Lead Character Concept Artist on Blizzard Entertainment’s Overwatch) and Alvin Lee (now Principal Artist on Riot Games’ League of Legends).

The series also features a cavalcade of comics’ top creators providing bonus stories and cover artwork. STREET FIGHTER™ RELOADED #1 sports both a 4-page story and cover art by comics legend Joe Madureira (Battle Chasers), while issue #2 includes a bonus story drawn by the fantastic Adam Warren (Empowered) and cover art by the great J. Scott Campbell. Later issues of the mini-series will include bonus stories from great talents like Kaare Andrews, Kevin Lau, and Hyung-Tae Kim.

Expect to see these hit comic book store shelves in November 2017, with subsequent issues following every two weeks through December and into January 2018. A trade paperback collection is planned to be released afterwards as well, for April 2018 — alongside the next story arc.

Final Fantasy XIV – FFXIV Community Scores Big with $21k Raised for Charity

The Final Fantasy XIV community has done an amazing thing for disaster relief in raising $21,000. According to a post on the FFXIV forum, “several FFXIV content creators teamed up to host a 12-hour community event to raise funds for hurricane relief charity and managed to raise over $21,000. Over 300 players participated creating new characters in Siren and even a GM joined in.”

Dissidia Final Fantasy NT will remain a PlayStation 4 exclusive, according to Square Enix

Having a third party game be a console exclusive is a rare thing in this day and age. For the most part, a third party title comes out on at least two of the home consoles or, even if it is exclusive, remains so only for a limited amount of time. This makes Dissidia Final Fantasy NT somewhat unique in that Square Enix has confirmed that it will remain a PlayStation 4 exclusive.

Talking to Dualshockers at Gamescom a few weeks back, Dissidia NT producer Ichiro Hazama stated that they are not considering any other platforms at the moment. Instead they want to ensure that their relationship with Sony is honored, and that the current PlayStation 4 build of the game is perfected.

The original arcade version of the game, Dissidia Final Fantasy, runs on a PlayStation 4-based arcade board, so this may not exactly be an unexpected move. That said, other games on similar arcade hardware (e.g. Tekken 7) have made it onto other platforms. This, on top of the PlayStation 4 hardware itself being based on the x86 architecture that powers modern PCs and Microsoft’s Xbox One. However, Square Enix seems focused on refining the game on PlayStation 4 alone. As part of this, director Takeo Kujiraoka has confirmed that the game will also feature PlayStation 4 Pro support.
