Ashes of Creation – PAX West Preview – Multiplayer is the Key

Backers of Ashes of Creation look like they don’t have to worry about being overly patient. After just successfully completing their crowd-funding campaign three short months ago they were determined to have a playable pre-alpha demo at PAX this year. But I don’t think anyone would have expected them to accomplish what they did in such a short time.

World of Warcraft – No Flying on Argus Reignites Years’ Old Kerfuffle

When players landed on Argus in World of Warcraft last week, they were met by the now-familiar prohibition against flying. Blizzard has been very outspoken about new zones being “no fly” for at least the first several weeks or months, usually requiring players to gain reputation with zone factions and / or complete various objectives to ‘earn’ the right to fly. Many, in fact, had just completed the tasks to unlock flying on the Broken Isles, only to get to Argus and be grounded again.

Blade & Soul – Classes, Content & Expansions All Coming Soon

Teased as far back as 2016 in Korea, where it was labeled the Maestro, the arrival of the Gunslinger has been anticipated by Blade and Soul fans for some time now. We got some hands on time with the Gunslinger during Gamescom 2017, where NCSoft introduced their latest update, the opening salvo in a barrage of updates planned for the rest of this year.

Heroes of the Storm – Five-Part Video Series Explores Resurrecting Kel’Thuzad

Blizzard has produced a five-part series about how Kel’Thuzad has been “resurrected” for Heroes of the Storm. The first video discusses his history with the company – “It takes a Blizzard to make a character” which is certainly true of Kel’Thuzad who has been part of several games, now including Heroes of the Storm. Several key members of Kel’Thuzad’s past speak of his importance in addition to HotS team members bringing him to life again (literally!) in a new game.
