SOS is an upcoming game from Outpost Games that is ready to provide adrenaline junkies with a new challenge. In the game, sixteen players are dropped onto a deadly island and have a scant 30-minutes to make their escape. To make a clean getaway, players will need to retrieve a relic, though that’s just the beginning. SOS features a twist on the survival genre in that “to win” players will need to use voice and personality to build bonds with others to make good the escape.
Tokido sits down with Ryan Hart to talk about his approach to fighting games
Echo Fox’s Tokido has learned from decades of experience what it takes to win. However, at the highest levels in today’s fighting game tournaments, he’s found even more tools in his arsenal to be the best.
At ESL, Ryan Hart sat down with Tokido to talk to him about his new rituals. They spoke of his new training practices, which include Karate and meditation. They also discuss his different approach to the game from his rival Hx.Twitch.CYG BST|Daigo Umehara, and spoke of his uncanny ability to read opponents’ emotions through the game.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite’s first weekend saw not one, but two major tournament appearances for the game. While a number of top players were at SoCal Regionals, a many players — including top players from other games — flew down to Florida to compete at CEOtaku.
While a number of familiar names were at the event, the eventual winner (spoiler warning for those who haven’t caught up on the results) was a player better known for dominating other fighting games. At the end of the day, Echo Fox’s SonicFox stood atop the heap as the first CEOtaku Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite champion, beating out the likes of Marvelo, LawKOF, Shah, and even Killer Instinct balance chief Adam “Keits” Heart.
While SonicFox is more known for his dominance in NetherRealm Studios games, his win at MvC:I shouldn’t be surprising when you consider that he’s also a top Skullgirls player. With the latter being a reset-heavy game built on classic Marvel Vs. rules, his success in the similar, reset-focused Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite may have been an eventuality (though maybe not this early).
